VALDOSTA, Ga. – No. 1 Saint Leo finished in a tie for fifth at the Southeastern Collegiate hosted by Valdosta State at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club after a final round 292 on Tuesday, March 15th.
Saint Leo finished with a three round total 873 (288-293-292) for a plus-9 on the course. The Lions were led by Hugo Bernard and Liam Ainsworth who both tied for fourth with a 215 (-1) total. Bernard carded rounds of 72-71-72 to finish one under as Ainsworth shot 70-72-73 for his one under.
Ryan Gendron came away in a tie for 39th after shooting an even par, 72, in the final round for a three round 222 (+6) total. Gendron fired off round of 73-77-72.
Griffin Clark shot a 78 (+6) on the final round to finish at 224 (+8) for the three rounds following his 73-73-78.
Riley Goss tied for 90th with a 239 (+23) after his final round of 75 (+3). Goss shot an 82 in round ones and two before his plus-three performance.
Playing as an individual, Casey Bannon tied for 39th with teammate Gendron with a 222 (+6) after carding an even par final round. Bannon shot rounds of 74-76-72 at Kinderlou Forest.
Saint Leo returns to the course when they travel to Eatonton, Georgia on Monday, March 21st and Tuesday, March 22nd for the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College at the Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee Golf Course.
