Men's golf earns 3rd NCAA Regional Bid

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Saint Leo University men's golf team was selected to compete in the 2015 NCAA South/Southeast Regional. The Lions earned the No. 4 seed in the South Region the NCAA announced Friday afternoon. The Super Regional will be hosted by Saint Leo at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla. 

Four 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 4-6. 20 teams and eight individuals will compete at each regional and the  top three teams and the top two individuals not with a team from each regional, regardless of region, will advance to the finals. The remaining eight-team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's medal/match play portion of the championships. The South/Southeast regional will produce six bids to the finals. 

The finals will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University at Rock Barn Golf and Spa in Canover, North Carolina May 18-22. 

At the 2014 championship, Barry University defeated Nova Southeastern University in
medal-match play to claim their second consecutive men's golf national championship and third 
in school history. Tim Crouch, Florida Southern College, finished with a 54-hole total of 213
and claimed his second consecutive individual title. The championships were hosted at The 
Meadows at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Michigan.
