MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s golf team (307-325—632) combined to shoot a score of 632 (+56), as the Lions completed first and second round action at the Par-72, 6,945-yard Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla., as they take part in the team’s initial spring tournament, the Titan Invitational.

Owning the eighth spot heading into the final 18, Saint Leo opened the tournament with an impressive 307 (+19) in the first round, before windy conditions saw the Lions post a second round score of 325 (+37).The team currently sits 29 strokes off the first place lead. 

Overall, Brevard’s ‘A’ team (287-316—603) clings to a four-shot lead over Sunshine State Conference opponent, Florida Tech (301-306—607). Meanwhile, Johnson and Wales (307-308—615) holds a one stroke advantage over Northwood University for third place.

Fellow SSC opponent, Tampa, is one shot behind Saint Leo as they sit in ninth-place.
