OCOEE, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s golf team currently sits in ninth-place heading into the final day of action at the Rollins Invitational, shooting a one day total of 608 (+32) during first and second round coverage from the par-72, 7,105-yard Forest Lake Golf Course Monday afternoon. Individually, Nick Brothers’ 6-over 150 leads the Lions’ quintet, firing a first round 71 before shooting 79 during the second round.
Host school Rollins College currently leads the nine team invitational with a score of 14-under 562, while Lynn’s Ricardo Gouveia leads the individual scoreboard with a 9-under 135, including a second round 65.
As for the Lions, Brothers was followed closely by senior Tom Lynn, as he registered a 7-over 151. Mark Sabatino found himself one shot of Lynn’s pace as signed his card with an 8-over 152.
Both Ricky Briggs and Justin Foster rallied in the second round with scores of 77 and 76, respectively, to round-out the Lions’ group.
The final round is set to tee-off on Tuesday, October 26 at 7:30 a.m. from the Forest Lake Golf Course in Ocoee, Florida.
It will also mark the final round of the fall campaign for the men’s team before entering their championship season during the spring.
