The SSC event is annually an exciting one, with a host of schools represented among the nation's top-ranked collegiate golf teams.

The men's field will showcase a pair of top-10 teams among five nationally-ranked competitors. Lynn enters the SSC Championship ranked No. 2 in the latest Golf World/Nike Men's Golf Poll. Barry is close behind in the No. 6 slot.

The Saint Leo men will march two freshman, two sophomores, and a junior out to the course. The group, which consists of Nick Brothers, Codi Daudelin, Chaz Heinz, Rick Briggs, and Ronnie Carlson, has had an up and down year as youth dominates the lineup. Still, the Lions have spent the second half of the spring playing more impressive golf as they wrapped-up their best finish of the season, sixth, at the Spring Fling Intercollegiate last month (Mar. 12-13).

Meanwhile, Nova Southeastern (No. 14) and defending national champion Florida Southern (No. 22) also appear in the Division II poll. Rollins received votes.

Lynn, Barry, and NSU have been impressive throughout the season. The Fighting Knights have tallied five first-place finishes, including the West Florida Invitational, NSU Shark Invitational, Rollins Invitational, and Bobcat Invitational. Lynn also tied for first at the Golfweek Spring Invitational.

Barry has placed in the top five in seven of its eight tournaments this season. After reeling off three straight runner-up performances in the month of March, the Bucs took home the team victory at the Buccaneer Invitational. Their runner-up showings came at the St. Edward's Invitational, Southeastern Collegiate, and Bobcat Invitational.

Nova Southeastern has notched six top-five finishes in nine events thus far. On four of those occasions, the Sharks placed in the top three. NSU was second at the Shark Invitational. The Sharks finished third at the Caribbean Intercollegiate, Buccaneer Invitational, and Rollins Invitational.
