WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s golf team was locked in the 13th position, as the 16-team field concluded the first two rounds of play at the Rollins College Invitational from the Forrest Lake Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.

The Lions shot a 301 (+13) and 289 (+1) on the day and trail tournament leader, Columbus State by 23 strokes, 283 (-5) and 284 (-4). The Lions rebounded from a difficult first-round to solidify their current position heading into the final 18-holes of play.

Individually for the Lions, Cole Cisbani (75-70) shot a 145, finishing +1 on the day, while finishing tied for 19th overall. Mark McGuire ended his first two rounds one shot back of Cisbani (74-72), shooting a 146. Junior JP Albuquerque (78-72) regained his stroke in the second round finishing with a total score of 150, while senior Matt Cornuet had a two sold rounds, collecting a total score of 151, shooting a +7 on the afternoon. Tom Lynn stayed close to the pack closing out the round with a 152 (76-76).

JP Van Der Walt of Columbus State executed rounds of 69-68 (-9), to take over the individual leader board.

All nine SSC school are competing in the tournament with Lynn University in second-place with a team score of 574. Host Rollins College is 12th after shooting rounds of 295 and 294 on the day.

Saint Leo will wrap-up  third-round action from Winter Park, Fla. Tuesday afternoon with tee times set for 9:15 a.m.
