Valdosta, Ga. (February 25, 2008) – The Saint Leo University men’s golf team finished fourth at the 2008 Thomas University Winter Invitational on Monday.  The event was held at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.

The Lions shot 299 in Monday’s final round to break first round tie with Edward Waters College and finish fourth alone with a two-day total of 606 (307-299).  Johnson & Wales University was the wire-to-wire winner with a score of 550 (280-270).

Saint Leo was led by sophomore Cole Cisbani (New Port Richey, Fla.) who carded a final round 2-under-par score of 70 to finish eighth individually with a 36-hole total of 148 (78-70). Houston Burgess of Johnson & Wales took home individual medalist honors with a total score of 133.

Saint Leo returns to action on March 3-4 at the Panther Invitational hosted by Florida Tech.  The event will be played at The Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla.
