Ocoee, Fla. (October 30, 2007) - The Saint Leo men's golf team finished in 11th-place at the Rollins College Invitational at Forest Lake Golf Club in Ocoee, Fla. The Lions shot a team total of 896 (300-291-305) in the 54-hole event played on the par-72, 7,038-yard course.
Saint Leo junior Matt Cornuet (Sebring, Fla.) finished tied for fourth individually, as he shot a three round total of one-under-par 215, which included a career-best 67 in Monday’s second round. Valdosta State’s Jason Flowers took home individual medalist honors with an 8-under-par score of 208 (71-65-72).
Brevard Community College (870) broke a second round tie with Florida Southern and won the event by three strokes over Nova Southeastern University and Valdosta State University who both finished with totals of 873. Florida Southern finished fourth (875) with Barry University and Columbus State tied for fifth (879).
