SAINT LEO, Fla. – Both the Saint Leo men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to open their 2010 Sunshine State Conference schedule today in Melbourne, Fla. as they head to the Clemente Center to battle the Florida Tech Panthers.

The women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., with the men scheduled to begin 30 minutes at the conclusion of the women’s contest.

The Saint Leo women come into their SSC opener having won two of their last three games, including a nine-point win over Peach Belt Conference foe, Flagler College.

The center has also collected a team-best 13 blocks. Jamaal Thompson, Jeremy Jackson, and Quentin Cullop have also contributed key buckets.
