Winter Park, Fla. (February 6, 2008) – The Saint Leo University men’s basketball team (10-10, 3-6 SSC) was defeated 80-58 by Rollins College (17-3, 6-3 SSC) on Wednesday night in Winter Park, Fla.

Saint Leo got a game-high 23 points from Jordan Prais (So, Lakeland, Fla.), but four Rollins players scored in double figures to lead the Tars to a wire-to-wire victory and a sweep of the season series.  Prais also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.  Brandon Powell (So., Tampa, Fla.) added 11 points off the bench for the Lions.

Rollins jumped to an early 11-2 lead and never looked back, leading by as many as 20 points in the opening half.  The Lions made it a 13-point game at half-time courtesy of a 9-2 run to close the first half.

The Tars continued to build on their lead in the second half, building their lead to a game-high 29 points with 3:25 left in the game and never allowing the Lions get into the game.

Kevin Hogan led Rollins with 21 points, while Jonny Reibel added 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds.  Jeremy Sharpe had a second consecutive double-double versus the Lions with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Saint Leo will return home on Saturday to face Lynn University at 4:00 p.m.
