Lee Parks is entering his fourth season as a member of the Saint Leo baseball coaching staff. He will be in charge of developing the Lions' catchers and outfielders as well as helping to perfect the batters' techniques and develop the Saint Leo hitting strategy.
Parks comes to Saint Leo after three years of scouting for the Texas Rangers. During this stint he was also an instructor for the Virginia Baseball Academy in Hampton, Va. where he helped develop catchers and hitters.
His playing career saw him land at Mississippi State University where he assumed the catching role and was a four year letter-winner. The switch-hitting catcher helped lead the Bulldogs to a College World Series berth in 1998 and a Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship in 2001.
After finishing his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State in 2002, Parks went on to receive his MBA while working as a graduate assistant at MSU. After graduate school he served as assistant general manager for the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain League.
The 1997 graduate of Nansemond River High School was born on April 4, 1979 in Portsmouth, Va. and is married to former Amanda White of Oxford, Mississippi.
The Parks' Family, including their dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog named Hudson, currently reside in Dade City, Fla.
