WINTER PARK, Fla. – Saint Leo senior lefty pitcher Brandon Terry has been named the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon. He receives the honor alongside University of Tampa's Nick Tindall as the Player of the Week, presented by VALIC.
The Indian Harbour Beach, Fla. native recorded two saves on the week to help his squad win two games of their three-game series against No. 9 Lynn this past weekend. In his first appearance of the series, Terry allowed just five hits and struck out six batters in four innings of work to earn the save, marking his seventh of the year. Tossing 1.2 innings in the series finale, Terry allowed no hits and struck out one to pick up his eighth save on the year and propel the Lions to a 2-1 series victory.
Terry and his squad will get back in action on Tuesday, April 22nd when they host the visiting Florida Tech Panthers in a non-conference, regional game. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. at Thomas B. Southard Stadium on the campus of Saint Leo University.
