New Lions See Playing Time in Cross-County All-Star Game

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Saint Leo baseball team was represented well when the teams took the field in the annual Hillsborough vs. Pinellas All-Star Game played at Tropicana Field on May 31.  Michael Dunnigan and Chris Williams, two signees for the incoming class, each managed an inning of work on the mound in the game.

Dunnigan earned the start for Pinellas County and struck out two batters while Williams, playing for Hillsborough, managed two fly-outs and a strikeout in his 12-pitch frame.  The game went 14 innings without either team committing an error. The Hillsborough County All-Stars scored three runs in the top of the 14th inning to claim the 8-5 win.

The duo that was part of this year's early signing class made up of three highly accomplished and recognized student-athletes both on and off the diamond.  Click here to read the article highlighting the newest Lions.
