SAINT LEO, Fla. – A strong line of thunderstorms moved through the Tampa Bay area on Saturday afternoon, with the first line of heavy rain hitting the Saint Leo University Campus at exactly 1 p.m. The amount of rain, coupled with the remainder of the day's forecast forced the cancellation of the doubleheader against Palm Beach Atlantic.
The schools will look for possible dates to reschedule, but no make-up date has been announced.
Saint Leo will now have almost a week off before traveling to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. where they will return to Sunshine State Conference action when they face Nova Southeastern in a three game series. The first game will get underway at 6 p.m. on Thursday night.
