AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)Santa appeared in 29 games during his sophomore season, making 16 starts…He concluded the season with a .186 batting average (11-for-59), 14 RBI and six runs scored…He swiped a pair of bases and had a .976 fielding percentage…Against Saint Anselm (03/01/09), he went 2-for-3 with a season-high three RBI and a run scored…In the final game of the season, Santa delivered the pinch-hit, game-winning RBI against Florida Tech (05/10/09).

Santa batted an impressive .333 for the Lions this year as a starting freshman…His offensive statistics also included 33 hits, 28 runs scored, 21 RBI, seven doubles, four home runs, and 17 walks in a total of 99 at-bats… His most remarkable accomplishment this season was when he was involved with a trio of grand-slams in one game against Barry University (4/12/08) setting a new NCAA Division II single-game record…He also contributed five multi-hit games, 11 multi-RBI games and a combined 11-game hitting streak…Had a pair of two home run contests as a freshman.
