ITA Scholar-Athlete ... went 1-0 at No. 6 flight singles, earning a win over Eckerd … played in the NCAA Regional match vs. Benedict, winning the first set 6-1, but it was left unfinished as the Lions won, 5-0 … named to the 2016 Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, earning a 4.0 in the semester. Member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2015 & Spring 2016

AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
Concluded the season with a 1-0 record competing as the Lions No. 6 against Eckerd College… The sophomore defeated Jonathan Cheng in consecutive sets (6-2, 6-1) to earn the victory. 

CAREER
Attended Rushcliffe School and Central College… Named British Colleges national number 2… State Champion in all age groups from U8-U18… Highest National career ranking 6^th at U16 Tennis Europe… Played for the club team Nottingham International High Performance Academy… Coached by Mark Taylor… Reached the National Premier Division Team Tennis finals for all age groups.

Born on June 9 in Nottingham, UK… Sport Business major… Hobbies include playing and spectating sports… Lists his favorite athletes as Jon Jones and Rafael Nadal… List his favorite team as the Nottingham Forest Football Club… Chose Saint Leo because of the tennis program and the COSMA accredited Sport Business program… Believes his best asset to the team is his enthusiasm and passion to help motivate his teammates… Son of Pauline and David Defusto… Has two brothers Alex and Adam… His brother Alex played for the UK university rugby team from 2010-2014, his brother Adam currently plays for the UK University tennis team, and his father played for the Loughborough University Rugby team where he was named to the 1^st team class of 1980 England U18.
