Saw action in all 17 games … recorded 27 points with 19 goals and eight assists … went 10-22 on free position shots … picked up 15 ground balls, grabbed 25 draw controls, and caused 11 turnovers … finished the season tied for third in total points (27) … had five multi-goal games including two hat tricks (3/18, 4/1) … named to the 2017 Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... 2017 D2ADA Athletic Achievement Award Honoree.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016)
Saw action in 15 games, making 12 starts … scored 29 points (25 goals and 4 assists) … her 25 goals led the Lions in 2016 … grabbed 25 ground balls, and won 12 draw controls … caused 10 turnovers … had seven multi-goal games, including a career-high five goals against Catawba (4/10) … named to the 2016 Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
2015 Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference… started all 17 games in her first collegiate season… led the Lions in goals (29) and points (32)… ninth in the SSC with 1.88 goals/game, and 13th in the league with 2.06 points/game… recorded a team-high three game-winning goals - versus Gannon (3/4), Bloomsburg (3/9), and Belmont Abbey (3/13)… only Saint Leo player to score in all four SSC regular season games, and one of only two to record a point in all four conference contests… logged a season-high four goals in the win over Bloomsburg… tallied nine multi-goal games, including hat tricks versus Bloomsburg, Pfeiffer (3/6), at Newberry (3/16), and at Limestone (3/18)… scored at least one goal in 15 of Saint Leo’s 16 regular season games; the only game where she did not score a goal was at Lindenwood (4/18)… 12-of-30 on free-position attempts, and led the team in free-position goals… tallied 20 ground balls in 2015, with a high three against Shorter (4/12)… 54 of her 69 shots were on goal (.783 SOG%).
CAREER
Played at Lake Brantley High School for Coach Casey Paris... Second Team Sunshine Athletic Conference All-Star as a junior and senior. Voted a captain in her senior season, ended the season with 58 goals and 22 assists. Ross was selected to play on the Brine National team. She played club lacrosse for RC Elite. Abbie competed in weightlifting both freshmen and sophomore year and was the 119 class best lifter both years.
