SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo senior Colett Rampf earned her third Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, matching the conference's milestone for most weekly honors in league history.

Rampf set a new Saint Leo 5K record with her winning time at the Queens University (N.C.) Royals XC Challenge on Friday at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C. She crossed the finish line in 17:05, eclipsing her own mark by nearly 27 seconds. Rampf finished two seconds ahead of second-place finisher Emily Kearney from SCAD-Atlanta.

The SSC Runner of the Week award is the 15th of Rampf's career, equaling former Tampa volleyball player Berkley Whaley (2013-15) and Florida Southern women's basketball player Lucresia West (2002-05) for the most SSC weekly awards in conference history.

The Lions will travel to Kissimmee, Fla., next Saturday to run in the Disney Classic. The women's race starts at 8:25 a.m.
