Mars Hill College senior attack Tyler Farmer has been named the league’s Player of the Year. Florida Southern coach Marty Ward and Lenoir-Rhyne’s Greg Paradine earn co-Coach of the Year honors. All-conference awards were handed out on Monday after a coaches vote was held Sunday afternoon. Obermeyer has netted 33 goals on the year, leading all freshmen and ranking third in the conference. He also has five assists, and ranks sixth in the DSC with 3.17 points per game. Seventeen of his 33 goals came during conference play.

August 10, 2009 SLU CHEERLEADING TO HOST SEPTEMBER MEETING AND ANNOUNCE 2009 TRYOUT SCHEDULE SAINT LEO, Fla. – Head Coach Emi Young and the Saint Leo cheerleading squad will hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m. to discuss tryouts and plans for their upcoming season. The meeting will take place in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Current squad members and those interested in a tryout should plan to attend.
