  • The Saint Leo men's golf team will look to win its first Sunshine State Conference (SSC) tournament title in program history this weekend. The Lions will play 54 holes across three days at the par-72, 7,152 yard RedTail Golf Club. Based on current Golf Stat rankings, the unofficial pairings have the Lions grouped with Florida Tech and Florida Southern on Sunday for the 9:05 block of tee times. 
  • The SSC Tournament will feature all nine conference members, six of which rank among the nations top-25. Nova Southeastern leads the elite as the top-ranked program in Division II, and #3 Barry, #4 Lynn also fall in the top-5. Saint Leo ranks ninth, while Florida Southern (11) and Florida Tech (22) ranks in the top-25.
  • Saint Leo's history boasts two top-five finishers and five top-10 finishers at the SSC Tournament. The Lions best Tournament score was in 2014 when Saint Leo shot a one-under par at Lake Jovita Golf Club and scored a three-round score of 863. The three-round mark ranks as the 14th best SSC Tournament score in league history.
  • Junior Joey Savoie shot a 5-under 211 last season for a second place finish. The Lions turned in three top-10 finishes at last years Tournament Championship and finished second, the programs best Tournament finish to date.
  • Last season the Lions advanced to the NCAA Division II Championships. It marked the first time since the 2009-10 season that the men's golf team has advanced to the postseason.

  • The SSC Tournament will feature all nine conference members, six of which rank among the nations top-10. Rollins leads the elite as the top-ranked program in Division II, and #2 Florida Tech, #3 Nova Southeastern and #5 Lynn make-up the top-5. GolfStat rankings puts Barry sixth, Saint Leo ranks 11th, and Florida Southern 15th.
  • Marie Coors looks to defend her individual title in 2015. Last season Coors shot a career-best score of 66 in the first round and finished the three-day event with a total of 218 (66-75-77), two shots ahead of second place Emily Rymer of Florida Southern (73-72-75-220).
  • Last season Marie Coors fired back-to-back rounds of 71 on days two and three to earn co-Medalist honors at the NCAA South Regional, and qualified as the top individual of the tournament. Coors was the second Saint Leo women's golfer in the past three years to take part at the National Championships.
