SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo Department of Athletics has partnered with StatBroadcast® Systems to use the StatBroadcast Live platform to simulcast live stats of its athletic events on the web and mobile devices during the upcoming 2013-14 academic year.
Saint Leo is the fourth member of the Sunshine State Conference and seventh school from the state of Florida to partner with StatBroadcast. The other SSC schools that are clients of StatBroadcast are Florida Southern, Rollins and Tampa. In addition, the SSC office has also partnered with StatBroadcast for live stats of its postseason basketball tournament.
StatBroadcast® will provide live streams of statistical information via the web and mobile devices for fans of the Lions and media members covering the school for several of the school's teams, including men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, baseball and softball. The program will debut during the Lions’ women’s soccer matchup against Webber on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
As part of the agreement with StatBroadcast®, Saint Leo also has the option to utilize the StatMonitr media stats system and screens for 2013-14.
In addition to stat feeds available via the web, StatBroadcast® has launched a mobile-optimized site, capable of streaming the live stats data to web-enabled cell phones and devices including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and iPad. These stats will be available for fans on the go, including those attending athletic events at Saint Leo.
